Useful information for your stay
During your stay we will provide you with all the information you need to fully enjoy our beautiful island and spend an unforgettable holiday. We will recommend you the best excursions depending on the weather and it will be our pleasure to book a restaurant for you in the evening.
Felciaio beach (700mt)
This is the closest beach to the residence, and it can be reached either on foot or by
car, using a pay parking. Formed by 2 inlets and sorrounded by rocks, this place is
very suggestive in the early hours of the morning, when there aren’t many people yet.
The second inlet is very nice, more suitable for couples without children since the
path isn’t suitable for prams, even if it’s not an inherently dangerous path. There
aren’t bars or other structures, and it’s a free access beach.
Lido beach (1 Km)
This beach is one of the best known and most appreciated on Elba, thanks to its
beauty. It’s also very easy to reach. It is one of the largest beaches on Elba’s island:
about 460 metres long and 15 to 30 metres wide. Bounded by two rocky spurs, it has
soft golden sand and it’s surrounded by beautiful pine trees and Mediterranean
vegetation. The beach is partly free and partly occupied by bathing establishments.
The beach is very popular. It is popular between young people who see it as a place to
meet and have fun, and it is also popular with those looking for an active holiday,
since it is perfect for snorkeling, windsurfing and other aquatic sports. Thanks to its
sandy shore and gently low seabed, it is also ideal for families with children. There
are bars and restaurants on the beach, as well as pedal boat, jet ski and sailing rentals.
The mistral wind contributes to the clarity and brightness of the water.
Zuccale Beach (4.5 km)
Zuccale beach is about 180 metres long and separated into two parts by a landslide of
large rocks, with a view of the Capo Stella promontory and Monte Capanne in the
distance. It is a beach of golden, grainy sand, well suited to families with children and
very much appreciated for its incredibly clear water making it a beautiful natural
setting. The seabed is also beautiful, perfect for snorkeling thanks to the presence of
great marine life. The beach is well organized and furnished of tourist services, with
parasols and sunbed rental, pedalos and motor boats.
Barabarca Beach (4.5 km)
Dominated in the distance by the town of Capoliveri, Barabarca beach presents an
unaltered landscape, perfect for lovers of nature and wild places. As soon as you walk
down the path, you will find yourself in front of a wonderful panorama. On the left
you will see the beach with its emerald green sea, and on the right the rocks that
invite you to discover the seabed: make sure to get your snorkel! The beach is
sheltered by a high stretch of coastline covered in Mediterranean scrub, mainly
agaves and alimo bushes, which almost reach the beach. It consists of light-coloured
sand and small rocks, and a good part of it is also covered with posidonia. The
crystal-clear water and partly rocky seabed make it suitable for snorkeling. Barabarca
beach is also suitable for families with children who can play near the shore. The
rocks on the right-hand side of the beach are often attended by nudists. Being
enclosed within the bay, it is sheltered and protected from most of the winds that
usually blow on the island. There is a small bar on the beach where sunbeds, pedalos
and canoes can be hired.
Norsi Beach (1.6 km)
Located within the Golfo Stella, Norsi is a splendid example of a dark sand beach,
typical of the southern side of the island. The beach is quite long on the whole (about
400 metres) and is divided into two parts by a rocky complex that stretches almost as
far as the shoreline. The beach has a mixed composition, with areas of fine dark sand
13
and others full of black little rocks. The beach slopes gently down to the sea,
providing easy access to the water. A simple refreshment service is offered during the
summer months by two small bars. There is also a small bathing establishment with
parasols and sunbeds.
Lacona beach
In the background of the deepest gulf on Elba’s island (just under 3 km) is the wide
sandy beach of Lacona. Facing south, it faces the island of Montecristo. With almost
1200 metres of sand, it is the second longest beach on Elba. It owes its fame to its
fine golden sand, its southern exposure and its natural surroundings and landscape.
Further out to the sea, the sand gives way to a rocky seabed and posidonia: an ideal
place for scuba diving. This the perfect beach for young people, thanks to the many
large stretches of free beach that blend in well with the natural environment and the
possibility of having fun doing many aquatic sports. The beach is also ideal for
families with small children, who can play in the sand and on the shallow waters that
descend gently, so much so that in some parts of the beach, even after many metres
from the shore you can still touch the bottom. On the beach there are many bathing
establishments and facilities for practising any aquatic sport and services for any kind
of necessity: bars, restaurants, diving, boat hire, windsurfing, sailing and motor boats,
sunbeds and parasols.
